The 11th Annual Johnson Creek Science Symposium gathers scientists, restoration practitioners, policy staff and community volunteers to share the latest research, restoration, policy and monitoring work in the Johnson Creek Watershed. This year's presentations cover a new amphibian field guide, floodplain and wetland restoration projects, watershed data analysis and monitoring methods, and an update on the Confluence Project. The symposium is a practical look at how field data and applied science are shaping decisions across one of Portland's most-studied urban watersheds, and is a useful afternoon for anyone working in environmental science, data analysis, GIS or STEM education. Doors open at 12:30 PM with programming beginning promptly at 1 PM in Room 320 of the Reed College Performing Arts Building. Hosted by the Johnson Creek Watershed Council.
