BSidesPDX is the Portland edition of the global Security BSides series: a community-run, volunteer-organized information security conference that its organizers describe as a gathering of the most interesting infosec minds in Portland and the Pacific Northwest. The 2026 edition runs Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, in Portland, Oregon. BSides conferences are built around an open call for papers and a deliberately low ticket price, which keeps the program practitioner-led and accessible to students, career changers and working security engineers alike rather than driven by vendor sponsorship. Expect two days of talks and hands-on sessions spanning offensive and defensive security, privacy and the practical craft of building and breaking systems, plus the hallway conversations that make a regional conference worth attending.
