Code and Coffee is an informal, welcoming co-working session hosted by the Portland Code & Coffee group at Fly Chai in Beaverton. Bring a laptop and a drink, then either chat with other attendees or focus on your own work and side projects. It is a chance to learn from peers, share knowledge, and find collaborators on side projects, online courses, or day-to-day work. Attendees can drop in at any point during the morning, and introductions are informal and unscheduled rather than a round-the-room ritual. Fly Chai lets the group use its space free of charge, so attendees are encouraged to buy something from the menu if their budget allows. Wifi and power outlets are available, and the organizers ask that you let them know if the meeting area is not accessible for you. Look for the tables with a Code and Coffee sign or a cluster of open laptops. The session is smaller and lower pressure than most tech meetups, with a mix of regulars and new faces each week. Limited parking is available in the lot outside the venue, with more nearby; Beaverton Central and Beaverton Transit Center are both a short walk away.
