Demolicious is UpStart Collective's monthly pitch night, bringing founders and the wider Portland community together to see what is actually being built here. Founders apply for one of a handful of three minute pitch slots, present to a packed room on the fifth floor of the Big Pink, and the audience votes by QR code for its favorite. The winner walks away with the Demolicious Championship belt and a spot in the end of year Champion of Champions showdown. November is the last chance to qualify for that final event, so the stakes are higher than usual. Doors open at 5:00 PM for networking, pitches start at 5:30 PM, and the night wraps around 7:00 PM. No pitch deck required to attend. Come to scout what is happening in the local startup scene, meet other founders, investors and operators, and cheer on people putting their ideas in front of a live audience.
