A one-day, in-person community hack day hosted by Portland AI Devs as part of Major League Hacking's Hacktoberfest, focused on learning, collaboration, and open-source contribution. The event welcomes both first-time contributors and experienced open-source developers. Attendees learn how to get started contributing to open source, find projects that match their interests, collaborate with other developers on pull requests and issues, and experiment with open-weight models and open-source AI tooling alongside other Portland builders. The day runs as check-in and welcome, followed by a long block of collaborative hacking and open-source contributions, and closes with project demos, wrap-up, and networking. Light food is provided and attendees need only bring a laptop. Open to working professionals and students, including university and high school students. Free to attend; registration through Major League Hacking.
