The third evening in the In Dialogue with AI public lecture series, six nights that use the defining technology of our moment to re-examine our relationship to one another. This installment looks at the promise of AI: the limits it can lift, and its promise of attention for every person. The featured speaker is Roberto Santiago, an applied AI researcher with 35 years of experience in the field. The format is a 45-minute lecture from 6:00 to 6:45 PM, a 15-minute open discussion from 6:45 to 7:00 PM, and 30 minutes of networking afterward until 7:30 PM. The series is held on third Wednesdays in the Dundon-Berchtold Auditorium at the University of Portland and is open to the public -- no AI background required. A good fit for technologists, educators, students and anyone thinking seriously about what these systems are teaching us about ourselves. Free; RSVP via Luma.
