The Portland Linux Kernel Meetup is a casual monthly gathering for anyone interested in the Linux kernel, hosted at the Lucky Labrador Beer Hall in Northwest Portland. The group brings together kernel developers, systems programmers, embedded engineers, students, and the merely curious for open-ended conversation over a beverage. There is no formal presentation or agenda -- the format is deliberately informal, built around whatever the people who turn up want to talk about. Past conversations have ranged across kernel internals, device drivers, filesystems, scheduling, build tooling, and the practicalities of getting patches upstream. All experience levels are genuinely welcome, including people who have never contributed a line of kernel code and simply want to listen and learn what the work involves. Attendees should look for the table with the plush Tux penguin on it. The meetup runs monthly and is organized by the Portland Linux Kernel Meetup community (PDX LKMU). Venue: Lucky Labrador Beer Hall, 1945 NW Quimby St, Portland, Oregon 97209.
