Portland Women in Technology is looking to meet anyone in the PDXWIT community interested in organizing or volunteering for its growing membership. This virtual roundup is a chance to find out what running a PDXWIT event actually involves and to put your hand up for the topics you care about. Organizers can plan technical talks, career-guidance sessions, networking nights, job-search support, or purely social gatherings such as coffee chats and group hikes. Host Kellyn P. is explicit about the goal: a self-service community where organizers can plan and run events with minimal involvement from her, which means real ownership for people who want it. Anyone who RSVPs receives the meeting link the day before. Good entry point if you have wanted to shape the PDX tech community rather than just attend it.
