Be There and Be Square. A long-running informal dinner for Portland-area technologists, now hosted at Nonna Emilia Ristorante Italiano in Aloha, where the group has a room largely to itself. Geek and nerd dinners are a low-key way to get to know industry peers outside of a conference hall or a conference room: no slide decks, no sponsor pitches, just great food, beverages and conversation with other people who build software for a living. Organized by PADNUG, the Portland Area .NET User Group, but open to developers, engineers, designers and technically curious folks of every stack. RSVPs are requested so the organizers can size the reservation with the restaurant, so let them know if you plan to come along.
