PDX Hackerspace opens its doors to the public for its weekly Work Party and Open House. Come hack the hackerspace or just visit: you can request a tour of the shop areas, meet members, ask about membership, sit in on new-member orientation, or bring your own project and work on it alongside other makers. The space covers electronics, fabrication, woodworking, textiles, and more, and members are usually around to talk about what the tools can do. The event runs in Section 2, the main space you enter through the front door. Work Party and Open House happens every Saturday except the last Saturday of the month, which is a closed members-only session for repairing and improving the space itself. Hosted by Jon Hannis. Open to all, no RSVP required.
