Operations Manager, SSD, US, OR, Portland - SOR3

Our Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining customer expectations to ensure orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. You will lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly talent, engaging your team during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) is an organization within Amazon specializing in delighting customers with the speed at which items appear on their doorsteps.

Key job responsibilities:

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
• Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews and load balancing with other leaders
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Work in an environment with variable noise, temperatures and weather
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
