Senior management role leading AWS data center operations across the Eastern Oregon region.

Responsibilities:

Supervise data center managers and approximately 100-150 hourly technicians across regional data centers
Set and track goals for safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency
Own strategic planning, performance management, hiring, and staffing
Develop team members through mentoring and training
Share operational best practices across sites
Plan infrastructure operations for new builds and expansions, including colocation sites
Continuously improve operational processes and tools

Compensation: base salary $145,400 - $254,500/yr, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), depending on experience and location.

Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA
Experience owning the operation of a mission-critical team or product
Experience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms
Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

2+ years of management experience
4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work, including RFP/bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations (UPS, generators, chillers, CRAC units)
Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams
