Ampere Computing is hiring an onsite IT Helpdesk Support Specialist in Portland, OR (6-month temporary contract staff augmentation role, with possible extension).

What you will do:

Deliver technical support via phone, email, chat, and remote access to end-users
Diagnose and fix issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions
Create technical documentation and knowledge base materials
Analyze support trends to improve service quality
Handle asset inventory and hardware/software lifecycle management
Provide technical support for virtual and in-person meetings
Escalate complex issues to specialized IT teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Experience in fast-paced corporate environments
Demonstrated adaptability in dynamic settings
Self-motivation with strong teamwork capabilities

Requirements

2+ years experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or System Administration
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
Strong communication and customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
