Full job description
Conduct flight test activities for experimental rotorcraft at Garmin's Salem, OR aviation facility.
- Develop test plans and serve as Pilot in Command
- Operate data collection systems and post-process flight data
- Understand systems under test, maintain aircraft configurations and troubleshoot installations
- Contribute to flight manuals and verify resolution of flight test issues
Qualifications
- Aerodynamic or aeronautical systems design knowledge
- Crew Resource Management experience
- System safety analysis understanding
- Systems engineering or software development experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering and 1+ year relevant experience, or equivalent
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (Rotorcraft)
- Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time
- Basic understanding of certification processes and regulations
