Full job description
Lead architecture and integration of SoC and interconnect IP for next-generation AmpereOne products. Hybrid role in Portland, OR.
- Own end-to-end design of I/O and interconnect subsystems balancing performance, power, and reliability
- Define subsystem interfaces and integration strategies for seamless SoC connectivity
- Align subsystem architecture with CPU and compute-engine teams and platform requirements
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across system, design, verification, and software teams
- Influence technical decisions and resolve complex architecture tradeoffs
Qualifications
- RTL/Logic Design or Design Verification experience
- IP integration expertise (boot/reset flows, performance modeling)
- Power delivery, power management, and clocking knowledge
- Debug/trace, interrupts, and RAS experience
Requirements
- 6+ years of SoC architecture or design experience
- Deep understanding of AMBA-based interconnect protocols (AXI and CHI)
- Knowledge of cache-coherent memory systems and DMA traffic
- Hands-on experience developing architectural performance models
- Experience across the full IP lifecycle from selection through silicon validation
- Bachelor's in a relevant engineering/CS field plus 8 years experience (or equivalent MS/PhD)
