Full job description

Microchip is hiring an Engineer I in Information Systems (Equipment Automation) at its Gresham semiconductor fab. The role sets up, maintains, and troubleshoots host communications for fab equipment, writes Python automation scripts, uses AI-assisted coding tools, collaborates with network engineers, and supports users. After-hours support (onsite or remote) and cleanroom work required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
0-2 years troubleshooting equipment automation issues
Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Python, and Visual Basic
