Full job description
Field-based role supporting AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) programs in Central Oregon, on-site five days per week with occasional domestic travel. The Construction Safety Manager implements health and safety programs across leadership, planning, and operational controls on active data center construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review risk assessments and coordinate with general contractors on site safety
- Conduct site visits and perform audits using leading and lagging indicators
- Host project kickoff sessions and influence program strategy
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements and the AWS Safety Management Program through systematic assurance activities and data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- 4+ years developing and implementing Construction Health & Safety Programs across multi-site or large scale construction environments
- 4+ years coordinating Construction Health & Safety Programs across multiple general contractors on complex construction projects
- ASP or CSP preferred
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- 8+ years of construction health & safety experience on active construction projects
- 4+ years leading EHS programs on construction projects
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) Certification
