Sr. Accountant, Corporate Accounting

Amazon seeks a financial accounting professional for its Global Transfer Pricing Close and Reporting team, responsible for worldwide accounting of intercompany transfer pricing transactions across the global entity structure. This is a multi-location role; Portland, OR is among the available locations.

Key job responsibilities:

• Perform and/or manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Support preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 8-K, 10-K)
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects with end-to-end process ownership
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Statutory Accounting
• Assess control effectiveness and participate in designing new controls
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Proactively identify, research, and document technical accounting positions
• Analyze complex processes and systems data to identify root causes and insights
