Full job description
AWS Infrastructure Services provides full life-cycle support to data centers from design inception through maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Provide operational support with training and complex procedure reviews
- Own conceptual design for data center upgrades that add capacity and improve efficiency
- Interface with operations, design, server hardware, and safety teams
- Develop innovative infrastructure solutions
- Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions
- Conduct engineering audits with on-site visits
- Act as resident engineer during construction and commissioning phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2 years experience in job offered or related occupation (or 4 years in lieu of degree)
- 2 years experience with industrial/municipal/commercial engineering (data centers, power generation, oil/gas)
- 2 years working with electrical drawings (schematics, single lines, panel schedules)
- 2 years experience with NFPA 70 and NEC 70E
