Full job description
The Fuse Accounting team owns financial controllership and accounting operations for Amazon Fuse, a global business partnering with telecom carriers and media distributors on subscription offerings. Portland, OR is one of several eligible office locations.
What you will do:
- Strengthen controllership by developing scalable financial controls and processes
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 and prepare technical accounting memos
- Design and assess internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, finance, and tech teams
- Drive AI and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- CPA
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
- MBA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership
Requirements
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
