Full job description

nLIGHT is seeking manufacturing personnel to build high-powered fiber lasers and components in Hillsboro, OR. No prior experience required - on-the-job training is provided. Swing shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM, with a 10% shift differential for hours 5:30 PM-12:00 AM.

What you will do:

Learn and perform electromechanical assembly operations using manual and electronic tools
Enter production data into computer-based systems
Work in cleanroom environments wearing appropriate garments
Follow documented work instructions and identify/report non-compliant irregularities
Check equipment regularly and perform basic troubleshooting
Work safely and to quality standards as part of a production team

Pay tiers: Manufacturing Specialist I $19.20/hr, II $20.35/hr, III $21.57/hr, plus target cash bonus up to 2% of earned wages.

Qualifications

Experience in electronic assembly preferred but not required
Soldering and/or wire bonding experience a plus

Requirements

Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
Basic computer skills for data entry
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to follow English written/verbal instructions
Basic math skills
Good attention to detail; committed to working safely
Ability to work overtime as needed
Able to function in cleanroom and controlled chemical environments
Sit/stand/walk 8-hour shifts; lift up to 35 pounds; frequent repetitive hand use
Must be a US Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected asylum/refugee status)
