Full job description
Amazon's Data Center Community is looking for a proven leader for the Eastern Oregon Region as a Data Center Operations Cluster Manager. This is a senior management role leading a large organization and managing managers who oversee data center infrastructure, including operational availability of network and server systems at scale.
Candidates should understand data center IT infrastructure and AWS, and bring both strategic business management and hands-on team leadership, with a strong focus on customer experience and operational excellence.
Note: PDX is an AWS GovCloud region; logical access requires U.S. citizenship for Amazon employees, and access cannot occur outside the United States. Pay range: $145,400 - $254,500 per year.
Qualifications
- 3+ years identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans
- 7+ years team management experience
- 10+ years design, construction, or program management in mission critical facilities
- Strong written and verbal communication with executives and non-technical leaders
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
Requirements
- 5+ years management experience
- 5+ years operations management experience
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
- 4+ years professional work experience or technical work with computer systems and technology components
- 3+ years managing managers
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent team management experience
