Full job description

Amazon seeks customer-focused individuals for a 10-week Summer 2027 internship (40 hours/week) at fulfillment centers, sort centers, or delivery stations across the western US, including Oregon. As an Area Manager Intern, you'll learn to coach, motivate, and mentor a team of associates in a fast-paced warehouse environment while developing a summer project with site leadership.

Key job responsibilities:

Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates
Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project
Work independently in an autonomous environment
Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
Work shift patterns including nights, weekends, and holidays (typically fixed 4-day work week)
Oversee truck deliveries, handle packages using pallet jacks, operate equipment as applicable
Lift up to 49 pounds; frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with all requirements anticipated to be completed between December 2027 and August 2028
Preferred: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Preferred: Enrolled in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or related field
