Full job description
Front-line responder role supporting the operations of AWS data centers. Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure.
- Monitor equipment daily and manage work requests
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC, fire suppression)
- Coordinate with contractors and respond to facility events
- Shift work including nights and weekends; overtime up to 60 hours weekly possible; 13% night shift differential
- Posting covers multiple AWS locations including Portland, OR
Qualifications
- Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling
- Experience in data center engineering
Requirements
- Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours in duration
- 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems
