Full job description

Lead design and development of next-generation developer tools within Ampere's Debug Tools software team. Build scalable infrastructure, tooling, and delivery processes that enhance developer productivity and release velocity for energy-efficient AI computing platforms. Hybrid role in Portland, OR.

What you'll do:

Build and evolve scalable tooling for the Debug Tools ecosystem
Architect CI/CD pipelines on GitLab with reusable components and automation patterns
Translate downstream needs into actionable tooling improvements
Automate development, testing, and release workflows
Define delivery lifecycle, quality metrics, and gates; implement automated failure analysis
Scale infrastructure using containers and GitLab Runners

Pay range: $182,000 - $273,000.

Requirements

BS in CS, Software Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience (or MS with 6+)
Strong expertise in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency building developer tooling with Python, Bash, or equivalent
Deep CI pipeline development experience using GitLab CI
Strong Git source code management skills
Solid understanding of configuration and software version management
Bare metal systems and firmware/debugger knowledge preferred
