Full job description
Create and maintain global component models for electronic and mechanical designs across Garmin's divisions; based in Salem, OR or Olathe, KS.
- Source parts, publish to library systems and validate models from other librarians
- Support CAD tool users across the company
- Work cross-functionally with design and process engineers to ensure models meet manufacturing and usability standards
Qualifications
- Component modeling experience
- Cadence, SolidWorks, OnShape, or Catia experience
- Product Data Management system expertise
- GD&T knowledge
- Electronics component and circuit theory knowledge
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field plus 3+ years experience, or equivalent
- Understanding of surface mount and through-hole components
- Proficiency with eCAD and/or MCAD tools
- Ability to interpret manufacturer data sheets
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes
