Full job description

Airbnb's CS AI team is seeking a Principal ML Engineer to drive Customer Support x AI initiatives with generative AI: fine-tuning state-of-the-art LLMs and optimizing them for high-performance deployment on Airbnb's ML infrastructure, building AI assistants, autonomous agents, and travel planning tools, and shaping AI architecture and roadmap.

Qualifications

PhD in CS, machine learning, mathematics, or statistics
10+ years developing ML models and products at scale
Python and PyTorch with LLM post-training or inference optimization experience
