Full job description
Diagnose and repair electronic equipment at the component level at Garmin's Salem, OR facility.
- Trace circuits in defective units using electronic theory and test equipment
- Discuss design issues with engineers and recommend improvements to assembly and maintenance procedures
- Inspect test data, calibrate components and assemble prototype circuits
- Maintain personnel safety in a static-controlled environment
Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
Qualifications
- 2+ years related Electronics Technician or Engineering Technician experience
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, vocational certification, 80+ hours toward a Bachelor's degree, or Electronic Technician Certification (ISCET or ETA-I)
- Demonstrated electronics knowledge, troubleshooting, or testing experience
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely
