Full job description
Build and maintain the operating system platform for Digit humanoid robots. Hybrid; Salem, OR or other Agility offices.
- Build and maintain OS images: bootloaders, kernels, device drivers, and filesystems
- Manage service orchestration using systemd and k3s for robot platform infrastructure
- Develop secure installation and over-the-air software update mechanisms
- Debug complex low-level issues across the robot software stack
- Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and robotics teams on platform features
- Contribute to developer tooling and best practices
Qualifications
- Robotics industry experience
- Kubernetes experience
- Bazel and similar build systems
- Hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Nvidia driver and library management
Requirements
- 5+ years with OS image generation, Linux kernel development, and embedded Linux
- Strong background implementing features in large-scale software systems
- Proficiency in modern Python and Linux systems programming
- Experience with Linux kernel, bootloaders, device drivers, systemd, and service management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
