Exterro (Portland, OR-based) seeks a proactive Commercial Counsel for its legal team in a remote-first role.

  • Manage commercial, vendor, partner and consulting contracts
  • Expand into privacy, compliance and product counseling over time
  • Collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, Security and Compliance teams

Ground-floor opportunity with a path to senior leadership in a growing legal department.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active member in good standing of at least one State Bar
  • 3-6 years practicing law, focusing on commercial contracts and technology transactions
  • In-house legal or law firm tech/commercial practice experience
  • Deep familiarity with SaaS business models and software licensing
  • Working knowledge of global data privacy and AI frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, SOC 2)
