Key responsibilities:
- Set power targets, budgets, and operating points for CPU, AI accelerator, and SoC blocks
- Build architectural, RTL, gate-level, emulation, and silicon power models
- Run RTL and gate-level power analysis and find optimization opportunities
- Characterize CPU, memory, I/O, and AI workloads for power and performance bottlenecks
- Lead power/performance/area/thermal tradeoffs and power convergence
- Apply power techniques such as clock gating, power gating, and DVFS
- Lead or support post-silicon voltage-frequency characterization
- Coordinate with ATE, firmware, and product teams on binning and SKUs
- Correlate pre-silicon estimates with silicon measurements
Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as Spyglass, Power Artist, Joules, or PrimePower
- Emulation, FPGA, silicon measurement, telemetry, or power/performance correlation experience
- Voltage-frequency characterization, AVS, silicon binning, SKU definition, or power-management firmware experience
- Tcl, Perl, C/C++, shell, SQL, or data-analysis tool skills
Requirements
- Experience in semiconductor power analysis, modeling, optimization, power management, workload characterization, or silicon validation
- Strong understanding of CMOS power fundamentals and power-reduction techniques
- Knowledge of CPU, AI accelerator, memory, I/O, and interconnect workload behavior
