Accounting Manager, Corporate Reporting

Amazon seeks a financial accounting professional for a Corporate Accounting Manager role supporting global operations, with financial reporting, technical accounting research, and cross-functional collaboration across AWS, Digital, Stores, Payments, Advertising, and International operations. This is a multi-location role; Portland, OR is among the available locations.

Key job responsibilities:

• Perform and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• Support preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 8-K, 10-K)
• Lead end-to-end process ownership for accounting tasks and projects
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess accounting implications of business initiatives
• Understand internal control design to assess effectiveness and design new processes
• Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities
• Conduct US GAAP research and provide guidance on accounting matters
• Assess risks and escalate issues to leadership appropriately
