Lead design and development of humanoid robot behaviors across task planning and execution. Hybrid; Salem, OR or other Agility offices.

Own behavior implementation from high-level logic through on-robot validation and deployment
Build autonomy capabilities integrating perception, motion planning, controls, and manipulation
Develop and evaluate manipulation strategies for new tasks and customer environments
Debug complex system-level failures using logs, simulation, and on-robot experimentation
Mentor engineers through code reviews and hands-on technical guidance

Manipulation strategy experience in complex/unstructured environments
Experience with learned skills (imitation learning, reinforcement learning, hybrid approaches)
Deployment experience supporting autonomous robots in customer environments

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related engineering
8+ years professional robotics software/autonomy development experience
Demonstrated tech lead experience on complex robotics projects
Proficiency in Python and C++
Knowledge of behavior trees, state machines, or task planning frameworks
System-level understanding of motion planning, perception, controls, and hardware integration
