Full job description

Define and guide comprehensive test and validation strategies for Ampere's Arm-based reference hardware platforms. Establish quality frameworks for firmware, software, operating systems, and AI runtimes, ensuring hardware-software co-verification and customer enablement. Hybrid role in Portland, OR.

What you'll do:

Define the test and validation strategy roadmap for firmware, software, system, and reference solution layers
Architect end-to-end test infrastructure, frameworks, and automated testing methodologies
Drive Continuous Testing pipelines and Fault Injection Testing
Design AI regression and performance benchmarking strategy, including custom harnesses for AI accelerators
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to verification and validation teams
Drive selection and adoption of industry-leading test tools and methodologies

Pay range: $225,500 - $338,500.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's in EE/ECE/CS or related field
10+ years embedded software/firmware test experience with 3-5 years as architect or lead
Deep expertise architecting test strategies for complex SoC platforms
Experience with HIL/SIL simulation environments
Expertise in test automation frameworks (Robot Framework, pytest) and CI/CD
Proficiency in C/C++, Linux/RTOS drivers, and Arm-based architecture
Working knowledge of I2C, I3C, PCIe, SPI, Ethernet, MCTP/PLDM
