Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring Support Engineers in Portland, OR to provide technical support to AWS customers.

What you will do:

Provide technical support to AWS customers via phone, chat, and email
Solve complex, critical issues spanning multiple AWS services
Work with development teams to improve end-to-end service support
Communicate with customers during major incidents
Write tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles for the customer community and internal training
Help customers with cloud architecture, migrations, and performance problems
Mentor junior support engineers

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm. Multiple positions available. Posted October 13, 2026.

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in computer science, IT, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field plus 1 year of related experience; 3 years of related experience may substitute for the degree
1 year of experience in Linux or Windows systems administration
1 year of experience in at least one of: database administration (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, or MariaDB); NoSQL technologies (DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra) with ETL tools; network administration and virtualization (DNS, BGP, load balancing, VPNs, VMware, or Xen); programming in Java, Python, C#, Node.js, or Ruby; or Chef/Puppet/DevOps with a version control system (Git, Perforce, SVN, or TFVC)
