Ampere Computing is looking for a Virtual Platform Architect in Portland, OR (hybrid). You will deliver virtual platform prototypes to internal teams for software development and architecture analysis of Ampere's cloud-native server processors.

What you'll do:

Develop functional hardware models in C++ / SystemC
Create technical documentation for models and tools
Collaborate across teams from product roadmap through design
Learn virtual platform modeling techniques from senior staff
Develop automated systems for software testing, debug and analysis
Build visualization tools to support debugging efforts

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills
Version control expertise

Requirements

3+ years of proven SoC / CPU architect experience
Programming, debugging and modeling of computer systems in C++, SystemC, and Python
Understanding of computer architecture principles (virtual memory, pipelining, bus protocols, multi-processing)
Understanding of computer systems performance principles (Amdahl's Law, queuing theory, mean value analysis)
Experience with software development methods including revision control, continuous integration, and unit testing
Experience with virtual platform / fast functional simulation model development
